The Tutor.

A planet where the kind of educators who would have shown up for you in a real school come into the universe. Real degrees. Real years. Real humans. Cultivators, not vendors.

How To Be Taught

Nobody teaches you how to be taught. It is a skill, and it makes every hour of help worth three.

Saying where it stopped making sense instead of "I do not get it". Bringing the attempt you failed at rather than a subject name. Asking somebody NOT to give you the answer. Ten things about getting help well — including how to tell a good teacher from a confident one, and the arrangements a grown-up sets up before any session happens.

What this planet is

The educators who chose to be here.

Most planets on the Academy teach a subject. The Tutor teaches you a person. Each profile here is a real, vetted educator with verifiable credentials, years of practice, and the dignity to choose the platform on purpose — because the work is the work, no matter what room they're standing in.

Cadets visit this planet to find tutors for the topics where they want one-on-one help. Parents visit to vet who's behind the platform. Tutors host their work and meet families they'd never have met from inside a single school district.

How I Arrived

The bridge between the personal and the business.

This section belongs to Anisha. The platform asks every contributor to write the testimonial of how they arrived — the personal-to-business bridge between their work and the C.U.L.T. universe. Different from a bio: this is the story of how the relationship started, why she said yes, and what brought her into the universe. Coming soon, in her own voice.

Speak to the Build

Anisha's commentary on the work.

This section is also hers. Different from "How I Arrived" — this is where she writes about the platform, her relationship with the curators, her ongoing observations as the universe grows. Coming soon, in her own voice.

For parents

Every tutor on this planet is vetted by the curator — degree verified, years confirmed, references reviewed. We're a small directory on purpose: 5 reliable educators serve more cadets well than 50 placeholder profiles.

Sessions are scheduled directly with the tutor. Payment is between your family and the educator until the platform offers an integrated payment tier. The platform doesn't take a cut of tutoring fees in v1 — the directory is the offer, the relationship is yours.

For educators

If you're a working educator with a degree, real years, and a desire to be present with cadets without commute or institutional overhead — this planet is for you.

You get a vetted, ad-free, AI-free, no-data-collection profile that lives across the C.U.L.T. universe. Your name. Your credentials. Your truth in the "Speak to the Build" section. Your sessions, your rate, your terms.

What this planet doesn't do

Some honest limits.

The Tutor Planet is not:

  • A school replacement. Tutors here supplement school; they don't replace it. The platform is supplemental curriculum + optional tutoring.
  • A clinical service. Tutors are educators, not therapists. When a cadet needs more than an educator can offer, the tutor will say so — honestly, without ego.
  • A marketplace race. No reviews. No star ratings. No leaderboards. The relationship between tutor and family is private; the platform doesn't gamify it.
  • An algorithm. Cadets don't get matched to tutors by software. Parents pick. Tutors accept or refer. Real human handshake, every time.

A learning fact and a you fact, every day

14 days on how to be taught — the skill nobody teaches, that makes every hour of help count. Daily Beacon below.

The long arc

This planet is one stop on a single curriculum, not a standalone topic. The same subject is taught at every level of C.U.L.T. — a cadet who starts at Sparks never starts over.

  1. Sparks · Chispasages 3–6Not taught this early — this subject opens at Kids, once the basics underneath it are in place.
  2. Kidsages 6/7–12How to be taught — say where it stopped making sense, and do one yourself. You are here
  3. Teensages 13–17Studying, mentoring and knowing when to ask; judging a teacher.
  4. Adult18+Teaching others, and learning with nobody assigning anything.

Every level is open to everybody. Nobody is asked their age, and nobody is tracked. A grown adult who never got taught this is welcome to start at the bottom rung, and a twelve-year-old who is ready is welcome to climb.
