AI is a tool. The question isn't "can I use it?" It's "should I, here?" That question is yours, not the machine's.

Some tasks deserve AI. Brainstorming. Speeding up boring work. Getting unstuck. Translating something. Summarizing a long thing.

Some tasks don't. Anything where the doing it yourself is the whole point. Practicing math. Writing your own opinion. Giving a real apology. Telling someone how you actually feel.

Mastery is not knowing how to use the tool. Mastery is knowing when to put it down.

Step 4 · Create

Write your own use-it / don't-use-it list

Write at least 3 things you'll use AI for, and at least 3 things you'll always do yourself. These are your rules — nobody else's.

Stuck? Things to consider for the "do it yourself" list: practicing your own handwriting, writing in a journal, telling a friend you're sorry, deciding what to wear.
