An AI without context is a stranger giving advice. An AI with context is closer to an expert who knows your situation.

If you ask "how do I write a good story?" you'll get a generic answer that fits nobody. If you ask "how do I write a 3-paragraph mystery story for my 4th-grade class — we've already learned about plot twists" you get something usable.

The difference is context. Three things to give the machine, almost every time: who you are, who it's for, and what the constraints are.

By the end of this workshop you'll have a context template you can paste at the top of every important prompt.

Step 1 · Read

Step 4 · Create

Build your own paste-at-the-top context template

Write a short template you'd paste at the top of any important prompt. Fill in the blanks for one real example as you go.

Stuck? Try this real example: "Who I am: a kid working on a science project. Who it's for: my teacher and my class. Format: a 3-paragraph explanation. Avoid: words I'd have to look up."
