Free play. Structured play. Silly play. Serious play. The world will try to take this from you as you get older. This workshop teaches you to protect it — because kids who lose play lose part of how they think.
Adults spend billions on "finding their passion." Kids who play well never have to. Because play is how you find out what your brain likes doing.
This workshop is not about apps that call themselves games. That's entertainment. Play is different. Play is where you make the rules, you decide what happens, and you are the one moving the pieces.
Somewhere between 8 and 12, most kids get told to stop playing. That's a mistake we're going to skip here. You can play at any age. The play just changes shape. The adult version is called a hobby, a craft, a business, or an art. Same skill.
Real practices for the most underrated skill of childhood. Play is not the opposite of work. Play is where kids learn what they actually love.
Three lessons — what play IS (it's not just games), why play matters for thinking, and how to make space for it when life gets busy.
