Section 01

What this agreement is

This is the standing Family Agreement for the C.U.L.T. Kids platform — an educational supplemental curriculum for cadets ages up to 13. The platform is published by Nathan James Publishing LLC (a publishing company owned by Nyasia Monet), with curriculum and creative direction provided by Nathan James Productions LLC (owned by Nathaniel James Barnes). The two companies are separate legal entities operating in coordination, with the educational mission funded through The Cultivation Foundation (an Ohio nonprofit corporation in formation, applying for 501(c)(3) public charity status).

Once signed and counter-signed, your family is welcomed onto the platform under the following terms:

Section 02

What this trial is not

This is not therapy, mental health treatment, or a substitute for professional care. Some planets (Feel, Fear, Family, Signal) teach emotional vocabulary and life-coaching frameworks. Life coaching is not a regulated profession and these resources are not a replacement for a licensed mental health provider. If your cadet needs professional care, please seek it.

This is not a replacement for school. The platform is supplemental. It is designed to fill gaps that traditional schooling does not — financial literacy, emotional literacy, communication, AI fluency, the science of the body, the architecture of relationships. It is not a substitute for accredited education.

This is not a commercial subscription service. There is no paid tier — not now, not later. The platform’s ongoing operation is funded through The Cultivation Foundation (an Ohio nonprofit corporation in formation, applying for 501(c)(3) public charity status) and through the for-profit affiliates that license curriculum at fair-market value to the Foundation. Families never pay to access the curriculum.

Section 03

Parental consent and access

I, the parent/guardian signing below, give consent for the cadet(s) listed in the signature section to use the C.U.L.T. Kids platform during the trial period.

I understand that:

Section 04

Founding Family status

The platform is free for every family, always. No subscription, no paid tier, no trial that converts to billing. The architecture is built to be sustained by donations and grants through The Cultivation Foundation (an Ohio nonprofit corporation in formation, applying for 501(c)(3) public charity status), not by the families it serves.

The first 25 families to sign this agreement receive Founding Family status — an honorific recognized in the platform’s history. The cap of 25 is operational, not artificial: one curator can give meaningful attention to 25 families during the inaugural phase. The status carries:

60-day fit check. If the platform is not the right fit for your family within 60 days of activation, your account closes clean — no obligation either way. Email the curator to initiate.

If your family chooses to support the work financially through a donation to The Cultivation Foundation once the 501(c)(3) determination is in hand, that support is gratefully received and tax-deductible — but it is never a precondition for access. Donations are separate from platform access at every step.
Section 05

Confidentiality and scope

I agree to keep my family login private. I will not share my username/password with anyone outside the family members listed below.

I agree to be thoughtful about how I describe the platform publicly while it is still in its inaugural phase. Word-of-mouth referrals to other family or trusted friends are welcome — and if they want to participate, they are invited to sign their own Family Agreement (Founding Family honorific subject to the 25-family cap).

I understand that during the inaugural phase, I may see features that are still being polished, content that is still being refined, and bugs that have not been caught. I agree to report what I find rather than expect a finished commercial product.

The Constellation (optional)

What it is: The Constellation at kids.cultlife.net/constellation/ is a canvas where opted-in cadets are shown as stars in a quiet sky. Each star displays a nickname (parent-chosen) and one short accolade (a recent moment worth marking). No counts, no rankings, no chat, no leaderboard. Stars rotate every page load — there is no top of the sky.

What goes up there if you opt in:

What does NOT happen: No chat. No comments. No friend requests. No DMs. No search bar (other cadets can't look your cadet up). No data sent to third parties. No analytics.

How to opt in: Email family@cultlife.net with your cadet's nickname + a first accolade. We review and add within one weekly cycle. You can pull your cadet from The Constellation at any time, same day, no questions asked.

Initials below indicate your choice:

______   I want my cadet in The Constellation (I'll email a nickname + first accolade)
Parent initials
______   I'll skip for now (can join later anytime)

Section 06

Liability and warranties

This platform is provided AS-IS, with no express or implied warranties of fitness for any particular purpose. Nathan James Publishing LLC, Nathan James Productions LLC, and The Cultivation Foundation are not liable for any indirect, consequential, or incidental damages arising from use of the platform.

I agree to supervise my child's hands-on activities (specifically anything labeled "Adults required" — primarily on The Lab planet, where activities involve batteries, mixtures, or materials).

This agreement is governed by the laws of the State of Ohio (state of LLC registration for both Nathan James Publishing LLC and Nathan James Productions LLC) and the State of Georgia (curator's residence). Any dispute will be resolved by good-faith conversation between the signing parent and the curator. If that fails, mediation will be attempted before any other action.

Signature

Print, fill, sign, return to the curator (in person, by mail, or by photo). Once received and counter-signed, your family login will be issued within 48 hours. No payment required, ever.
